"In May 2013 we officially unveiled the first three of our Loggerheads - tree trunks that have been carved and painted into life sized statues. The theme of the Loggerheads is famous Tasmanians.

Restoration: Attention to Detail
With assistance through a grant from the Tasmanian Community Fund, mural artist, restorer and curator Julian Bale has taken Miss Bell under his wing, showing her the ropes while restoring more than 70 of the town's historic murals.
"A mural is only as good as its paint," Mr Bale said. "We use house paint, most modern paints last about 15 years." More...
